Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Here’s another anti-Trump or Pro-Trump post.” This will have nothing to do with how anyone feels about Donald Trump. This is a real review of the book content and nothing else. So, here we go.
This book is the story of a young man who leaves behind his hometown to move one town over, into the big apple. He has no personal connections whatsoever in the city, and begins to embark on a monumental journey to make his presence known to the entire city. This truly is the dream that so many have dreamed about, to start, wherever you may be, and finish much higher and more well off.
When we teach our kids qualities to succeed in life, we try to teach them to be polite, well-mannered, and driven. While this book only accounts for one of those qualities (driven), it becomes the basis for how someone can succeed when they aren’t the best and brightest that there is. We all want our kids to be the next pro sports player or next genius in the scientific or medical field, but to accomplish that, you need to be extraordinary. The ordinary kids are the ones that need the help to learn how to succeed on their own because they are the ones who need that little extra help. This book outlines behavior that will make anyone become a success at anything that they do.
The drive and determination that this book shows off helps create the guidelines for how someone should persevere when someone says no to you. Donald Trump is told no so many times in his early life, and he acts as if he doesn’t hear it. He feels that he will become a success and to become successful, you need to have the right attitude, and Donald started with the right kind of attitude to intrude and ultimately flourish in a world that wasn’t accepting at first.
No matter what your views on the real estate and recent political giant may be, this book is one that I recommend reading, because it truly envelopes what the American dream is seen as.
